Welcome to my journey

If you've found your way here, chances are we share something in common. Maybe it's a love for family, a commitment to faith, an appreciation for freedom, a passion for travel, or the belief that life still holds incredible possibilities no matter your age.

My name is Chris Triana, and my story has been shaped by faith, family, service, perseverance, and gratitude for the opportunities this country has provided.

This page is more than a biography. It's the story of the people, experiences, victories, challenges, and lessons that have helped shape who I am today.

Growing Up and Learning Life's Lessons

Like many Americans, I grew up learning the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and perseverance. Those early lessons would eventually guide me through life's successes and challenges and become the foundation of the values I still hold today.

As I grew older, I came to appreciate the importance of faith, family, and freedom—not simply as ideas, but as principles that shape how we live our lives and serve others.

United States Marine Corps

One of the defining chapters of my life began when I proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps taught me discipline, responsibility, leadership, resilience, and the importance of serving something greater than myself.

The lessons I learned during those years have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to influence how I approach challenges, relationships, and personal growth.

The values of honor, courage, and commitment remain an important part of who I am today.

Family Is Everything

While careers and accomplishments come and go, family has always remained at the center of my life.

My wife Clara and I have built our lives around faith, commitment, and family.

Together, we have experienced many of life's greatest joys and some of its most difficult challenges.

We have been blessed with three children: our son Christopher, my daughter Sarah, and Clara's son Frank, whom I helped raise from the time he was ten years old.

Through the years, our family has shared countless memories, celebrations, vacations, milestones, and moments that have shaped us into who we are today.

Loss, Faith, and Perseverance

Life does not always unfold according to our plans.

Several years ago, Clara and I experienced one of the most difficult losses a family can endure with the passing of Frank.

Grief changes you. It challenges your understanding, your emotions, and your faith. While that loss remains a part of our story, it also strengthened our reliance on God, deepened our compassion for others, and reminded us never to take a single day or relationship for granted.

That chapter reinforced a truth I continue to hold close: even in life's most difficult moments, faith can provide hope, strength, and purpose.

Every family has someone whose quiet strength helps shape the generations that follow. For me, that person is my father, Nicholas Triana.

As a young man, he proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a radar repair technician.

After completing his military service, he took advantage of the opportunities his generation fought to preserve, earned a college degree in engineering, and spent his career helping design bridges and other infrastructure projects that would serve communities for decades.

Years later, after retiring with his second wife to Tyler, Texas, they enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling life together. When she became ill, my father devoted himself to caring for her at home until she passed away. His quiet faithfulness during that season was a powerful example of love, commitment, and sacrifice.

After her passing, he faced the possibility of spending his later years alone. Clara and I believed family should remain together whenever possible, so we invited him to move to Southern California.  Clara & I added an addition to our home so he could continue living independently while remaining surrounded by family.

Today, at 96 years old, my father continues to amaze us. He remains remarkably healthy, active, and engaged with life. Watching him each day reminds me that honoring our parents isn't simply a responsibility—it's one of life's greatest privileges.

His life has taught me that character is built through service, hard work, perseverance, and faith. From serving his country, to building bridges, to caring for his wife, and now allowing us the privilege of caring for him, his story reminds me that every season of life has purpose.

As Scripture teaches, we are called to honor our father and mother. I'm deeply grateful that God has given Clara and me the opportunity to live out that calling together.

That decision transformed my life.

I lost nearly 90 pounds, dramatically improved my health, expanded my interests, and discovered that some of life's greatest opportunities can appear long after traditional retirement age.

One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is this:

It is never too late to reinvent yourself.

Reinventing Myself After 60

Like many people approaching retirement, I eventually reached a crossroads.

I could either slow down and accept that my most productive years were behind me—or I could embrace a new chapter.

I chose the second option.

After turning 60, I committed myself to improving my health, strengthening my faith, learning new technologies, pursuing new opportunities, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

Travel, Adventure, and New Experiences

Travel has become one of the great joys of this season of life.

Whether exploring new destinations, cruising through the Caribbean, discovering local communities, or simply experiencing different cultures, travel continually reminds me how much there is still to learn and appreciate.

Some of my favorite memories have come from stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing new adventures.

Those experiences continue to inspire much of the content I share today.

Building Chris Triana Official

What began as a personal journey eventually evolved into something larger.

Through social media, videos, books, blogging, travel content, product recommendations, faith-based encouragement, and community engagement, I discovered an opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life.

Today, Chris Triana Official serves as a platform where I can share lessons learned, experiences gained, and insights that may help others navigate their own journeys.

You'll also find occasional conservative-leaning commentary, observations on current events, political satire, and a little good-natured sarcasm along the way. After all, life is too important to take seriously every minute of the day.

The Road Ahead

The truth is, my journey is still being written.

I don't claim to have all the answers, but I believe in continuing to learn, grow, serve, and embrace new opportunities.

If there is one message I hope visitors take away from this page, it is this:

Your best years are not necessarily behind you.

No matter your age, circumstances, or past experiences, there is always another chapter waiting to be written.

Thank you for being here.

I invite you to join me as we continue this journey together—guided by faith, grounded in family, grateful for freedom, and excited for whatever adventures lie ahead.
