Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts combines Polynesian-style architecture, overwater accommodations, and expansive lagoon views from its Motu Tevairoa setting.

Bora Bora has no shortage of luxury resorts, but Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts stands out for putting traditional Polynesian design at the center of the experience. Located on Motu Tevairoa, a preserved coral islet, the resort sits between the lagoon and ocean with Mount Otemanu creating a dramatic backdrop. It is approximately a 10-minute boat ride from Bora Bora Airport and 15 minutes from Vaitape.

With 108 rooms and villas spread across tropical gardens, the beach, and the lagoon, guests can choose how closely they want their stay connected to the water. The result is a resort that combines classic Bora Bora scenery with a distinctly Polynesian atmosphere.

Polynesian Design Throughout the Resort

Traditional island architecture gives Le Bora Bora much of its character. Accommodations are designed with the Polynesian way of life in mind, incorporating generous indoor spaces, large windows, and open-air areas while still providing modern comforts.

The variety also extends beyond the lagoon. Garden Villas with Pool are inspired by traditional Polynesian faré homes and sit within private tropical gardens. Beach Villas with Pool provide direct access to the sand and views across the lagoon, giving travelers another option beyond the familiar overwater experience.

Traditional Polynesian-inspired materials and open lagoon views help give the resort’s accommodations a strong sense of place.

Overwater Bungalows Above the Lagoon

For travelers picturing the classic Bora Bora stay, several categories of overwater accommodation are available. The standard and Lagoon Overwater Bungalows measure 851 square feet and include furnished decks with gazebos and direct lagoon access. Glass panels incorporated into the rooms provide glimpses of the water below.

Location and views help distinguish the categories. Lagoon Overwater Bungalows offer unobstructed lagoon scenery, while Otemanu Overwater Bungalows face the island’s famous mountain. Higher-category options add features such as private plunge pools, larger outdoor areas, and overwater hammocks.

Dining With a Polynesian Touch

Three restaurants give guests several ways to experience the resort’s setting. Otemanu Restaurant occupies an elevated position with views of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu and serves international cuisine with French-Polynesian influences. Miki Miki provides more casual meals near the beach and pool, while Poerava offers an intimate gourmet dining experience.

Private dining can also become part of the stay. The resort can arrange experiences including breakfast delivered by outrigger canoe and meals served on the beach or an overwater deck.

Exploring the Water and Slowing Down

Guests have complimentary access to snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and paddleboards, along with several land-based sports. Excursions can take the experience farther into Bora Bora through snorkeling trips, island tours, and sunset cruises.

For a quieter afternoon, Tāvai Spa sits within the resort’s tropical gardens. Its treatments draw on Polynesian traditions and include options such as local massage techniques and treatments using monoï oil.

A Classic Bora Bora Experience

Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts brings together many of the elements associated with a French Polynesian escape, but its traditional architecture gives the property a particularly strong sense of place.

Between the overwater bungalows, direct lagoon access, tropical gardens, Polynesian-inspired dining, and Mount Otemanu views, the resort offers a relaxed way to experience Bora Bora while keeping the island’s culture and natural surroundings visible throughout the stay.
